Generally, cooking is considered to be a difficult task. I am talking globally. Though food is one of the basic requirements of human beings and learning to cook should me a mandatory skill but most of us run away from it.
We believe that cooking should only be done by our mothers or wives. Why?
Who told us to believe in that sense. Is it written somewhere?
As far as I am concerned it is not a rule.
Why we (males) don't want to accept this basic responsibility?
I think since childhood it has been positioned in our minds that cooking is the department of females only.
I am writing all this because I learned cooking at the age of 43 which is quite late.
As per my thinking cooking should me made as a mandatory subject in the school itself. As we learn Mathematics and English right from the beginning, Cooking should be included with it seriously.
After that I have learned cooking now, I wonder why I was missing this skill all these years.

Happy cooking and yes happy learning.
You are absolutely true @Robin K. Cooking is a universal concept and everybody should know it completely. By the way share your experiences and challenges you might have faced while you learned cooking. All the very best.
