Before I start, I must focus on the two words- selfish and selfless.
The two words, selfish and selfless, are often used interchangeably, but they have different meanings. Selfishness is defined as a concern with one’s own interests and welfare, while selflessness is concern for others.

There are many times when being selfish is the best thing to do. For example, if you have a job that you love, it is usually best to selfishly focus on doing your job well and not worry about the consequences for yourself. On the other hand, sometimes being selfless is the best thing to do. For example, if you are the parent of a young child, it is usually best to be selfless with your child's priorities.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the way someone deals with selfishness will vary depending on their personal background and experience. However, some tips on how to deal with selfishness may include:
1. Recognize that selfishness is a normal human behavior. Everyone has their own preferences and needs, and it can be difficult to compromise when we're focused on ourselves.
2. Try to be forgiving. Selfish people often feel entitled to what they want and resent those who don't give them what they want. It can be tough to forgive them, but it can be a powerful way to reduce dependency on selfish people.
If given a choice, whom do you choose- a selfish friend or a selfless one? The obvious answer is the "selfless one."
Isn't it?
But what if your selfish friend protects you from the external forces of the world and a selfless friend does not. In such a situation, whom do you choose? Confused? Don't get confused. It is always the selfless friend who would be helpful in the long run. If you look at a bigger picture you can not compare the vision and mindset of a selfless person with a selfish one.
It is always better to be selfless and kind to others. Being selfish is not natural because in nature neither Water nor Sun is selfish. Both are available to one and all. It does not differentiate between caste, color or creed. In the same way human beings should not differentiate among themselves.
I am thankful to all the kind people out there who are selflessly helping others to grow. Due to the presence of these people the world is prospering.
