The Joy of Saving and the Thrill of Spending!
A few days ago, I shared my experience of saving money and how it gave me a sense of calmness. But today, I feel like doing the opposite—spending some of it on things that bring me joy. After all, we get one life. Should I focus on saving or embrace the thrill of splurging? I am in that space where both feel equally right.
Saving money makes me feel secure. It’s a quiet satisfaction, knowing that I have built a safety net for the future. But then, spending on things I desire brings me a different kind of happiness—one that is instant, exciting, and fulfilling in its own way. This contrast makes me wonder: Is one more important than the other?
Right now, I am enjoying both sides. One moment, I feel proud of my discipline, and the next, I love the feeling of rewarding myself. This constant swing between saving and spending feels like a colorful journey, each choice adding a different shade to life.
I am exploring this balance in my own way, understanding how both contribute to my sense of happiness. Each experience is teaching me something, and I’m letting myself live through it without overthinking.
If you have ever felt this way, I’d love to hear your perspective. Every thought adds a new color to this journey, making it even more vibrant. 😊
Saving and spending are necessary; otherwise, life would be too monotonous.
I don't think splurging money is necessarily bad, as long as it doesn't turn into a habit. You can always save a bit more when needed.
