I do not have a fancy qualification with me. All that I learnt is from my parents only. I believe I have got quite a few good and practical lessons from my mother while selling food items.
@Bill Abbate yes. Good to see your reoly. There is no synchronization between academia and industry as such. Most business schools claim that but in reality they are nowhere closer to that.
@Bill Abbate i agree with each and every word written by you. I completed my post graduation and took up a job. I was quite confident of achieving the success. But in a span of just six months, I came to know that whatever I have learned till PG is just an eyewash. The real scenario is altogether different. I did not learn about office politics, how to deal with people, how to keep the boss happy. I was just doing my work which went unnoticed. One day my boss called and discussed my work. He was surprised to know the kind of efforts I were putting in my job. He asked me why I did not communicate with him earlier about all this. That day, I learnt a new lesson. Show your work more rather doing it. As far as my experience is concerned, I could only use 5 or most 10% of my knowledge I learned till my PG. I must say 15 years spent in the present education system is useless and a waste of time. It is just ti grab a piece of certificate not more than that.
Education should arrive in a completely new package "Avatar" to the young ones @Bill Abbate
Parents are so important in our lives.

Thanks the thoughtful comment Arpita! Too bad so many of those in academia live in their own little world apart from reality...
