I have to be extra cautious while purchasing a product or service. Whenever I am not careful, either I end up paying more or buy an inferior product. I have experienced it many times now.
So in order to give you the best purchasing experience, I am writing this post. I know we all are buying with informed decisions however the following points are for your consideration.
1. Manufacturing date: it should not be older than three months.
2. Expiry date: medicines and food items should be checked for it.
3. Packaging: the outer packet should not look damaged or torn.
4. Price: should be compared well with the other competitors. You have a very high chance of getting the same product at a lesser price at a nearby store or other online platform.
Post purchasing inputs:
1. You always have an option to replace the item if it is damaged or does not work in respect to size, colour, shape etc.
2. You may even demand for a refund if your item is out of stock. Don't compromise by selecting other products here. Demand for a refund. You always have options to purchase items at your convenience.
Hope the above points are useful to you. I might learn from you so share your inputs as well.

Great information. Thanks @Aria Harrison
Remarkable post. Have you checked onsite warranty in your case. I think there was no need to go the authorized service centre. They come to your home as all HP laptops have onsite warranty, I believe @Aria Harrison
After sales service is very important @Aria Harrison Onsite or carry-in warranty should be considered while purchasing laptops.
Good information @Aria Harrison Thank you for suggesting to check the manufacturing date on the package. It is really needed.
