A couple of days back, I visited a school for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) children, hoping to make a small difference. Along with donating books and money, I spent hours with the students, teaching and playing with them. The day turned out to be more meaningful than I had imagined.
One incident that stood out to me was when a young girl, maybe seven or eight, showed me her drawing of a house surrounded by trees and a bright sun. She explained each detail with such excitement; her eyes sparkled with pride. The simplicity and innocence of her joy reminded me of the pure happiness we often forget in our busy lives.
During a math lesson, a boy struggled with basic subtraction, so I took extra time to help him understand. After several tries, he finally solved a problem on his own. He looked up at me with a big grin, and I felt a sense of completeness I rarely experience.
I've decided to visit every week, spending time with these wonderful children. Every visit promises learning, laughter, and a feeling of true wholeness that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Wow. Teaching children and spending time with them can truly make you learn new things.
Time well spent.
Serving the weaker sections of our society is not only the need of the hour but also a noble job.
