Absolutely spot on @Bill Abbate Your stories are so true. This reminds me of one government run hospital in South Africa whose CEO was a dynamic person and a good leader as well. During his tenure, the hospital developed, its employees prospered. I believe it was due to decentralization. His tenure completed and a new CEO took over. He had a different style of working, mostly autocratic, I must mention. In three months of his joining, the overall productivity of the employees came down, many departments got closed. The new CEO spoiled everything.
